What is Pickleball?

Pickleball. The fun and competitive sport with the silly name.

So, what is Pickleball, anyway? Maybe you vaguely remember playing pickleball in middle school PE, or maybe you’ve starting hearing about the sport more often from friends or online. One thing that’s for sure, the sport of pickleball is growing by leaps and bounds, and for good reason. Pickleball is fun, easy to pick up, easy on the body, great for all ages and can be as competitive as you want it to be. Even tennis pros like Andre Agassi are picking it up!

We thought about writing a lengthy “What is pickleball” article, but we found these videos that do such a great job of explaining it, we knew they had to be shared. So welcome to the world of pickleball, we hope you catch the bug just as we have.

This first one, appropriately named “What is Pickleball”, is from thirdshotsports.com and provides a great overview of the sport and some basic terminology that will keep you from feeling like a newbie.
